Hi!

It seems fitting for the Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend to have a typewriter shop, doesn’t it?

We thought so too.

Type Townsend was all Shelley French’s idea — a way to showcase her collection, spread her love and knowledge of typewriters, and create a space where people can get together to admire, discuss, and write on these beautiful machines.

Griffin Stoss jumped on the Type Townsend train after meeting Shelley at a Type Townsend event at the PT farmer’s market.

We look forward to seeing you after we open our doors in December 2022!
